Overview:

A weekend backpacking adventure on the Bruce Trail.

Purpose:

To practise and improve on lightweight camping and backpacking skills.

Topics:

  • trip planning and logistics
  • camping gear selection
  • proper footwear and clothing considerations
  • menus and water supply, and,
  • sample trip routes. 

Duration:

  • 1 evening session, plus,
  • one weekend outing, normally 3 days and 2 nights of a long weekend.

Misc:

This outing takes us backpacking on the adventurous Bruce National Park section of the Bruce Trail, Tobermory to Lion's Head.
Participants should have previous camping and outdoor experience, and be physically fit for this challenging outing.
