Overview:

To gain sufficient expertise in kayak-handling to become O.R.C.A.-certified.

Purpose:

Completion of the requirments set by O.R.C.A. (Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association) to gain certification in basic kayaking.

Topics:

• basic kayak-handling, turning, and paddling skills,
• emergency manoevers,
• safe boarding and disembarking,
• weight distribution and adjustments, and,
• many more related topics

Duration:

• one 3-hour evening session, plus,
• a weekend outing, or 2 weekend outing days.
