Overview:

Learn to plan and carry out a snowshoeing trip into natural sites in local areas.

Purpose:

Learn how and where to snowshoe in Southern Ontario. Enjoy the incredible scenery and serenity that snowshoeing offers, and some winter wonderland fun.

Topics:

  • history of the snowshoe
  • trip planning and logistics
  • winter safety
  • gear selection; proper footwear and clothing considerations
  • menus and water supply, and,
  • sample trip routes. 

Duration:

One evening classroom session and several one-day hikes.

Misc:

Snowshoes will be provided.
