Foraging for Wild Edibles (Guelph Forest, Guelph)

$29Overview:
This course will teach students how to identify 50-75 different species of plants, trees, shrubs, ferns, and lichens.
The format of the program may vary based on the site or vendor.
- basic principles of ecology and habitats,
- species preferences and site distribution,
- rules and regulations,
- safety and health concerns,
- ethics of plant foraging.
Students will also learn to make teas, salads, jams and bannock.
