Wild Edibles Foraging (Rouge Valley, Toronto)

June 13 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

This course will teach students how to identify 50-75 different species of plants, trees, shrubs, ferns, and lichens.

The format of the program may vary based on the site or vendor.

Families welcome, kids over 7 years.

  • basic principles of ecology and habitats,
  • species preferences and site distribution,
  • rules and regulations,
  • safety and health concerns,
  • ethics of plant foraging.

Students will also learn to make teas, salads, jams and bannock.
